As Hays Public Works Director Jesse Rohr introduced his newest employee to Hays city commissioners last week, he also announced the department is now fully staffed.

“Paul Sieja started with us two weeks ago. He’s a Maintenance Worker I with the Service Division. His background and construction experience has been very beneficial already and an asset for us,” Rohr said.

“We’re glad to have Paul on board, and I’m happy to say we are now fully staffed in Public Works,” he added.

“I shouldn’t have said anything about that,” Rohr joked, as one city commissioner knocked on the wood commission table and the room erupted in laughter.

Department heads now regularly introduce new employees and recognize employee promotions to the city commission.
