NORTON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 1p.m. Monday in Norton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford pickup driven by Austin M. Gubbels, 21, West Point, NE., was eastbound on Kansas 383 thirteen miles southwest of Norton.

The pickup traveled across the roadway into the north ditch and struck a concrete culvert. The collision caused the truck and trailer to separate and come to a rest in the north ditch.

Gubbels was transported to the hospital in Norton. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
