USGS: 2nd November earthquake shakes Kansas

BARBER COUNTY — A second earthquake this month shook Kansas Monday afternoon. The quake that measured a magnitude 2.5 was centered approximately 19 miles northwest of Kiowa, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Just after 2:30 a.m. November 9, a magnitude 2.9 quake and was centered approximately 17 miles southeast of Caldwell, according to the USGS.

There are no reports of damage or injury from Monday’s quake.
