Hays Middle School celebrated Unity Day and anti-bullying month with an assembly planned by its Leadership Team.
Students played mix-it-up bingo to start the day.
They were placed in groups and each student had a bingo card. They had to find a student who fit the description on the card — a person who has braces, a person who lives on a farm, a person who rides his/her bike to school. Door prizes were given to students entered in the drawing who had completed their bingo cards.
The HMS Leadership Team created its own anti-bullying videos that were shown to the student body.
Students and staff wearing orange met for a group picture. The goal of Unity Day and Mix It Up day is to include others, be open to form new friendships and stand together against bullying.
