4:42 p.m. – All roads in the area are now open.

4:00 p.m. – Crews have reopened Highway 40 in Russell County. But according to dispatch 175th, 176th and 177th Streets are closed northbound from Highway 40.

3:00 p.m. – Old Highway 40 in Russell County from 179th west to the Ellis/Russell County line is closed due to reduced visibility, according to Russell County dispatch.

Traffic is being diverted to Interstate 70.

GORHAM — Fire crews are responding to a large grass fire near Gorham. Early Friday afternoon, the fire was reported to be just east of the Ellis-Russell county line.

Russell County and Ellis County crews were on the scene of the fire, reportedly confined to pasture ground.
