
RENO COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating at alleged attempted abduction near a Hutchinson elementary school.
USD 308 sent a notice to parents of students at Faris Elementary School, 301 East 10th Street in Hutchinson. It indicated several students reported an attempted abduction, according to school district spokesperson Ray Hemman.
The notice says that an older man attempted to abduct three students. The suspect was described as wearing a black mask, was tall and skinny and drove an older red and white pickup truck.
Hemman noted that Faris has about 20 staff members who assist with school dismissal each day outside the school, and that the staff is aware of what happened.
