Jody Edward Sneath

Jody Edward Sneath, age 35, of Quinter, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his home. He was the son of Virgil and Joyce (Sprick) Sneath; born on October 27, 1982 in Hill City, Kansas. The family moved to Almena, Kansas, where Jody attended Northern Valley Grade School. Then they moved to Quinter.

Jody received his GED from Colby Community College, then completed the Technical Engineering program in Goodland. After he completed his education, Jody was employed at Sneath Enterprises. He was there for six years before going into the dietary industry, as he loved cooking. He later worked as manager in the kitchen at the senior center in Dodge City. He really enjoyed the company of the senior citizens, even playing bingo and other games with them. He will be missed by many family and friends.

Jody leaves to mourn his passing, his parents of Quinter; grandmother, Shirley Weilert; brothers, Justin (Kelli) Burris of Colby, Kansas, and Gene Sneath of Plainville, Kansas; sister, Sherry (Dan) Colpine of Springfield, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Maverick Thomas Burris; and sisters, Jenny Sneath and Debbie Dofer.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Gove Community Bible Church, Gove, Kansas. Burial will be in the Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Gove Community Bible Church. Donations to the church may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 South Main, Quinter, KS 67752.
