UPDATE: As of 3 p.m., power had been restored to all of those affected by Monday’s outage.

A large portion of northwest Hays is in the midst of a power outage, according to Midwest Energy’s outage viewer.

More than 1,300 customers are being affected by the outage.

Midwest spokesman Mike Morley said crews are currently investigating the cause.
