RUSSELL — Martin Myers, longtime Russell resident and pPresident of Myers Furniture Inc., was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award in a recent banquet by the Russell Chamber of Commerce, recognizing his many years of service to his neighbors and community.

In addition, letters of congratulations have been received by Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer and Kansas Rep. Troy Waymaster. A statement by Myers expressed gratitude for this honor, and encouraged others to get and stay involved in their communities, as that is where we as individuals can make a real and lasting impact.
