Phillipsburg resident Edna M. Powell passed away, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg at the age of 96.

She was born July 18, 1921 in Phillips County, KS the daughter of Frank & Maude (King) Hall. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and infant son, Donald D. and her husband, Doren W.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Dwight Powell & wife, Janice of Salina and Denny Powell & wife, Connie of Bel Aire, KS; a daughter, Denice Rahjes & husband, Robert of Agra; and 7 grandchildren, Christi Reid (Brad), Scott Powell (Casie), Todd Powell (Trina), Debbie Beam (Jared), Maurica Bruning (Troy), Kimberly Frahm (Tad) and Jennifer Mendenhall (Brad), and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Church of God, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Monte Brunner officiating. A private burial at West Cedar Cemetery will be held prior to the service.

Mrs. Powell will lie in state from Noon until 9 p.m. Thursday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, where the family will greet friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.
