HAYS, Kan. – The Thomas More Prep-Marian softball team ran their win streak to eight games Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of Ellinwood. Bailey Lacy struck out 21 with one walk while allowing two hits in the ten innings of work.

The Monarchs scored eight runs in the last three innings to blow open a close game in the opener and won 10-0. They scored five in the first then 11 in the second to take control of the second contest and won it 22-0.

Emily Schulte, Kyleigh Allen and Lexi Gottschalk all drove in three runs in the first game. Anna Gottschalk had six RBI and Brianna Romme five in the second game as the Monarchs improve to 9-3.
