UPDATE: Kan. man hospitalized after small plane crash

MCPHERSON COUNY- One person was injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Tuesday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Maule M-5-235C piloted by Shannon Randal Scot, 57, Alma, was attempting to take off eastbound on Smoky Valley Road. The plane hit a sign and the pilot lost control. The plane ended up in the trees on the north side of the road.

Scot was transported to the hospital in Salina.

MCPHERSON COUNTY—One person was injured in a small plane crash east of Roxbury in McPherson County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The single occupant was transported to the hospital in Salina with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the KHP.
