Longtime Goodland resident Ginger Chadwick passed away from this earth and was reunited with her parents on August 29, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ginger (Virginia Leann), the youngest of three daughters, was born on January 12, 1962 to Richard and Wilda Forbes in Norton, Kansas. Ginger spent her childhood in Goodland. She married the love of her life, Mike Chadwick on December 14, 1981. Mike and Ginger were blessed with a son Richard Levi and a daughter Dusti Rae. The Chadwick family lived in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., for 20 years and then returned to their hometown of Goodland, KS.
For 32 years, Ginger had the privilege of touching the lives of many, many children and their families. In addition to her own family, these children brought her some of her greatest joys and much happiness. Her house wasn’t just a daycare, it was a place where children felt at home.
Ginger is survived by her husband, Mike Chadwick, their son Richard (Delores) of Sutherland, NE, their daughter, Dusti Rae, Goodland , 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, Sisters Penny (Glen) Pfeifer of Oakley, Carolyn (Jeff) Roberts of Loveland, CO, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews (who all love her dearly).
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Wilda Forbes.
