9:20 p.m. – According to the Rooks County Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Post, Highway 183 is now open.

A portion of the highway was closed in Rooks County for about three hours Thursday night due to an accident.

The Rooks County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page said the highway was closed because of power lines laying across the road.

Highway 183 between Plainville and Stockton is closed in Rooks County due to an accident.
