HAYS – For a 13th straight year, the Hays High girls’ golf team has qualified for state. The Indians shot a 398 and finished second at their own 5A Regional Thursday at Smoky Hill Country Club.

The Indians were 33 shots behind first place Maize South.

Taleia McCrae led the way with a 95 and finished seventh. Molly Eikenberry fired a 98 to finish ninth and Emily McGuire was 10th after a 100. The 5A State Tournament is Monday in Hesston.
