Ricky Lee Triplett, 62 of Hill City, Kansas, was called Home October 22, 2018, surrounded by his family after a long battle with COPD.
He was born on May 2, 1956 in WaKeeney, Kansas to Gene and Iva (Massier) Triplett.
Rick was a graduate of Ransom High School with the class of 1974. He married his high school sweetheart, Korene Cromwell, the following June 14, 1975 in Ransom. They later moved to Bogue where he worked for his uncle as a mason. In 1978 Rick and Korene moved to Logan, Kansas, where he worked in the grain industry. Between the years of 1978 through 1985 Rick and Korene had four children: Chanda, Chrissy, Sonya and Tyson. After 32 years of working in agriculture, Rick took a medical retirement in 2010.
In his retirement years Rick filled his time watching his talented grandchildren at sporting events, quilting beautiful works of art, cheering on his beloved Jayhawks, fishing and camping with friends and hunting with his family.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Gene Triplett; his grandparents Clearance and Rosie Triplett and Jake and Ella Massier.
Rick is survived by his wife Korene of the home; three daughters: Chanda Lunn (George) of Castle Pines, Colorado; Chrissy Delimont (Michael) of Logan; and Sonya Lovesee (Joel) of Leon, Kansas; his son Tyson (Jennifer) of Phoenix, Arizona; his precious nine grandchildren: Walker and Hudson Lunn; Rylee, Ansley, Breyer and Harper Delimon;, and Torrance, Taytum and Tinley Lovesee; his mother, Iva of WaKeeney; four sisters: Debbie Schmale (Roger) of Salina, Kansas; Sandy Bostick of WaKeeney; Dara Knoll (Kip) of Ness City, Kansas and Karla Ghumm (Michael) of WaKeeney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.
