Richard Lee Lamp, 58, of Colby, KS passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Swedish Memorial Hospital in Englewood, CO.

Richard was born January 27, 1960 to Robert and Geraldine (Mennenga) Lamp at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, KS. He was baptized on February 28, 1960 and confirmed on May 18, 1975 at
Zion Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg.

Richard attended Phillipsburg Public Schools, where he graduated in 1978. He remained in Phillipsburg after graduation and worked at Boogaarts grocery store. In 1981 he moved to Denver, CO where he worked for Skaggs, Walgreens and Franklin Services as an aircraft cabin cleaner. Returning to Phillipsburg in 1989, he became employed again at Boogaarts grocery store and eventually moved to Colby, KS to work for Boogaarts then Walmart. At the time of his death he was employed
at Dillons.

Survivors include his brothers, Rodney and wife Jill of North Platte, NE and Robert and wife Deena of Phillipsburg, KS, sister Rhonda Lamp of Hoyt, KS, three nieces and four nephews and his special friend, Robert Beitz and his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Robert and mother Geraldine and his grandmother, Tena Mennenga.

Richard will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind. He will live forever in our hearts and memories.
Cremation was planned. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Friends may sign the book on Thursday and Friday, November 15th & 16th, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Olliff- Boeve Memorial Chapel in Phillipsburg, KS.
