Evelyn K. Gourley, 82, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Salina. She was born January 14, 1936, in Ellsworth to Cristie and Mary (Lundgrin) Naegele.
Evelyn was a lifetime resident of the Ellsworth and Kanopolis areas where she was a bank teller at Kanopolis State Bank and later First Bank Kansas. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in the class of 1954 and was a member of the Kanopolis Sunflower Civic Club. She married Earl D. Gourley, Jr. in Lincoln on December 25, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Evelyn is survived by her son Cris Gourley (Margaret) of Ellsworth; daughters, Kathleen Bunch (Mark) of La Crosse and Angela Bunch (Randy) of Kanopolis; grandchildren, Craig Gourley (Samantha Oliver), Brian Gourley (Kayla), Cristopher Gourley (Jenna), Dylan Bunch, Zachary Bunch, and Taylor Bunch; great grandchildren, Clay Gourley, Aaliyah Gourley, and Connor Gourley; sisters, Glennys Bruning (Leroy) of Ellsworth and Jolene Krier of Goddard; brother, Ralph Naegele (Rita) of Troy, OH; and special friends, Kimbree, Anthony, Ellie, and Claire Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Enola Hetzler, Anona Vague, and Helen Mason; and grandson, Scott Bunch.
Visitation: 1-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with family present 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth with burial following at Kanopolis Cemetery.
