Jetmore – Mabel Ellen (Love) Glunt, 94, passed from this life to the next on November 28, 2018 at her home in rural Hodgeman County, KS
Mabel was born August 26, 1924 to Frank and Belva (Lamar) Love. She graduated from Cimarron High School in Cimarron, KS, attended college at Fort Hays State College. She received her teaching certificate and taught elementary school before she married Virgil Glunt on August 30, 1951.
Mabel was active in the United Presbyterian Church in Jetmore, KS and was a member in the W.I.F.E. (Women involved in Farm Economics) organization, Sunny West FCE, Worthwile Club and a community Bible Study Circle.
Survivors include: three sons, William (Mary), Donald (Iola) and Stephen; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil; a brother, John Love and a sister Vera (Love) Kenton; her son, Thomas Glunt and her great grandson, Logan Glunt
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
