WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities say a 39-year-old woman accidentally shot herself while driving in Wichita.

Police Sgt. Ed Brower says the gun went off Monday as the woman was attempting to holster it.

A dispatch supervisor says she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police say she is stable. No one else was hurt.
