Darrel Dean West, was born November 9, 1935, on the family farm in Norton County to Noel and Ruby (Reever) West. He passed away February 4, 2019 at the Andbe Home in Norton, at the age of 83.

Darrel graduated from Norcatur High School and then went on to attend Fort Hays State University for one year. Darrel married Marla Brack on June 3, 1956 in Otis, KS. He spent his life running the family farm and enjoyed watching sports on TV and reading. He was a member of the Norton United Methodist Church.

Darrel is survived by his wife of Norton; son, Thomas West of Sarasota, FL; daughters: Penny (Alan) Greiner of Kingman, KS and Dana Randolph of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Randy West.
