At approximately 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, Hays Middle School initiated a soft lockdown due to a medical emergency.

Hays EMS and Fire Department responded for help and the situation has been resolved. The soft lockdown was concluded after 15 minutes.

As a reminder, this means students are kept in their classrooms and teaching continued as planned.
