William “Bill” C. Colley, 75, passed away on May 25, 2019 at his home in Larned, KS.
He was born March 2, 1944 in Hugo, OK, the son of William Carl and Opal Ima (Owen) Colley. Moving from Long Beach, CA., he was a Larned, KS, resident for the past fourteen years. He was an Oilfield Foreman for CPS and enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing and playing cards. He served in the United States Navy and was a tribal member of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
On July 1, 1989 he married Patricia M. Lewis in Las Vegas, NV. She died August 1, 2018.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary (Catrice) Colley, Las Vegas, NV, Carl (Marcie) Colley, Palmdale, CA; daughter, Brenda (Chris) De Herrera, Santa Clarita, CA; two step-sons, Steve (Lisa) Spain, Larned, KS, Jeffrey (Richie) Spain, Sand Springs, OK; brother, Don Colley, Reno, TX; sister-in-law, Sharon Lewis, Larned, KS; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Kevin Spain; three sisters, Ima Jean Giles, Shirley Nora Lowinger and Patsy Mae Donavant.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, KS, with Pastor Nicholas Martinez presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, KS, with military graveside rites.
