GREAT BEND – The Hays High cross country team battled the 98 degree heat Thursday at Lake Barton in Great Bend.

The Indians girls placed 3rd as a team. They were led by Landri Dotts who finished 9th and Amelia Jaeger was 14th.

The Indian boys finished 7th. Brayden Hines was the highest Indian finisher in 28th.
