A western Kansas man was killed in a head on crash in Osborne County Sunday morning. Twenty-seven year old Grady Martin Carl of Downs was driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra northbound on US 281, five miles north of Osborne.

Bruce N. Stockman, age 71, of Kirwin was southbound driving a truck and trailer on US 281. The Elantra crossed over the center line and hit the truck head on. Carl died at the scene. Stockman was transported to the hospital in Osborne and then flown to the hospital in Kearney. The vehicle pulling the trailer was destroyed by fire resulting from collision. Carl was not wearing a seat belt.
