Justin Moore wants you to download his new song, “Heroes,” for free while doing some good for U.S. troops at the same time. From now until July 28, fans 21 and over can download a free copy of “Heroes” at CrownHeroesSong.com, and Crown Royal will donate one dollar to the Armed Forces Foundation for every download.
Justin recorded the song in honor of everyday heroes like U.S. Marine Samuel Deeds, who recently won Crown Royal’s Your Hero’s Name Here contest. As a result, Deeds won the naming rights for the upcoming Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 NASCAR race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 28.
The honor recognizes Deeds’ bravery in saving other soldiers’ lives by absorbing the blast from an IED himself. After enduring more than 30 surgeries due to injuries from the blast, Deeds went on to save three more people caught in a rip tide off the coast of North Carolina. His wife nominated him for the honor.
Country newcomer Greg Bates wrote “Heroes” with guys like Deeds in mind.
Says Greg, “I hope that this song makes people notice and appreciate the everyday HEROES in their own lives.”
