Kip Moore is happy his debut album, Up All Night, is a big success, but he’s not completely surprised by his good fortune. Even when he was getting turned down left and right trying to get his career started, Kip always believed in himself and his music.
He says, “If you don’t believe in yourself, then there’s no point in doing it.”
Kip’s attitude paid off big time with his back-to-back #1 hits, “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” and “Beer Money.” His latest single, “Hey Pretty Girl,” is rising fast towards the top of the chart this summer.
“To be potentially having a third #1 off the debut record is something I could have never really fathomed,” Kip says. “I’m so humbled by the whole thing. I can’t believe where my career is at right now. It’s mind-blowing at times.”
There are surely a few more hits Kip could pull from Up All Night, but he’s set on releasing a new single from a new album once “Hey Pretty Girl” runs its course.
He explains, “I’m just itching to get to this next project. I’m just ready to give people a new body of work. I don’t want to be one of those people that’s sitting around with the same record for two-and-a-half, three years.”
Luckily, Kip has a record label that listens to him and lets him have a big voice in the course of his career.
“I’m so excited for this next chapter,” Kip says. “I’ve let ’em hear some of the stuff, and we’re all on board.”
Kip continues to tour relentlessly. See where he’s playing next at KipMoore.net.
