Hays Chamber Recognized as one of the Nation’s Best

The Hays Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) has earned a top 3 award at the national Chamber of the Year competition.

Wednesday evening HACC Executive Director Tammy Wellbrock and current chamber board chair Travis Kohlrus accepted the award at the National American Chamber of Commerce Executives conference in Oklahoma City.

Norfolk, Nebraska took home the top honors. Mayfield Graves, Kentucky also finished in the top three. The National Chamber competition had more entries in 2013 than in any previous year.

“Being a part of the Award Ceremony and representing the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce was an amazing experience,” said Wellbrock. “While bringing home the title would have been so rewarding, earning the placing of finalist is a huge feat and one of which the Hays Area Chamber members should be proud. It was an honor to share the same stage with the other finalists, knowing Chamber professionals from across the nation are now aware of the great happenings in Hays, Kansas!”
