No severe weather, only heavy rain from the storms Thursday night. A flood warning was issued for Ellis and Trego County just before 10 p.m. and it was allowed


to expire at 3:15 a.m. on Friday. Heavy rain did temporarily make driving difficult on portions of I-70 and around town.
Unofficially Ellis had reports of 2.20 and 1.75, Prairie Acres 2.10. Two miles west of Schoenchen reported .75, Catharine 1 .90, Sweetwater Ranch 1.10, a mile east of Yocemento reported 2 inches and 2.60 at the FHSU University farm.
The Eagle Media Center on Hall Street in Hays received 1.64 inches of rain.
The official rain total from the K-State Ag research center South of Hays was 2.37 inches of rain. That gives Hays 3.57 inches in July and 12.25 inches for the year.
