School starts Thursday with a half-day of classes for USD 489 students.
Those attending O’Loughlin Elementary School on Hall Street will find a new plan for arrival and departure.
Parents have been notified by e-mail today of changes in drop-off and pickup procedures since Victory Road on the school’s north side remains closed.
Students in kindergarten and first grade will arrive and dismiss through the front doors/circle drive. They may also arrive and enter through the cafeteria door.
Students in second and third grades will arrive and dismiss through the cafeteria doors.
Students in fourth and fifth grades will arrive and enter through the cafeteria doors and dismiss at the front door, cross at the crosswalk and meet parents as follows:
* Fourth-grade parents will park on 14th Street and meet their child on the east side of Hall Street.
* Fifth-grade parents will park on 15th Street and meet their child on the east side of Hall Street
Only one bus per day will arrive at (7:45 a.m.) and depart from (3 p.m.) O’Loughlin.
