Law enforcement searching for suspect Update

1:30 p.m.   Russell County Sheriff’s office has no new information on the search for the suspect who fled Wednesday’s traffic stop.  A description of the suspect has not been released.

4:00 a.m. Thursday  The search for the suspect who fled a traffic stop in Russell County on Wednesday evening continues. The Russell County Sheriff’s office told Hays  Post that no arrest has been made. Stay tuned to Eagle Radio and check Hays Post for additional information as it becomes available.

 

9:25 p.m.  Wednesday    Law enforcement authorities are using aircraft in an attempt to find a suspect wanted on a felony warrant. The suspect fled a traffic stop in Russell just after 8 p.m.   Kansas Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Deputies and other law enforcement officials from Ellis and Russell County are working together but have not been able to find the suspect.

8: 29 p.m. Authorities in Rooks and Osborne County have been notified of the effort to find the suspect.  A search aircraft may also be coming to assist.

 

8: 15 p.m.  Law enforcement authorities from Russell and Ellis County are looking for a suspect who fled a traffic stop in Russell on Wednesday evening. The suspect is drivingchase police a white Chevy Extended cab pickup and pulling a trailer with no tag.

The suspect is reportedly wanted on a no bond felony warrant and may be pulling a stolen trailer. He was last seen driving north on 176th north of Gorham.
