3:20 p.m. Midwest Energy crews are on the scene and have disconnected power at the the location. No injuries have been reported.
3:05 p.m. Fire crews are requesting Midwest Energy come to the scene of the fire. An electrical malfunction in the basement may have contributed to the fire.
2:55 p.m. Hays Fire Department has been dispatched to report of a fire at a residence at 111 West 36th Street. There was a report of smoke inside.
