2:40 p.m.  The Trego County Sheriff’s office confirmed the fire run on 283, 2 and 1/2 miles south of WaKeeney. The fire was in a tree and may have been caused as a result of tree trimming work done at the location.  The fire did not spread and there were no injures.

12:34 p.m. Rural fire is responding to a fire reported on 283, 2 and 1/2 miles south of town on the east side of the road and the north side of Big Creek.
