A man was injured when his car hit a train in Cowley County on Saturday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Forty-Seven year old Kris A. Cooley of Winfield was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger east on 72nd Rd., 9 miles north of Winfield early Saturday morning. He struck a stationary train at the crossing. Cooley was transported to the hospital in Winfield. He was wearing a seat belt.
