Hays Police were busy early Thursday morning chasing suspects and making arrests.

Lt. Rounkles told Hays Post that at 12:24 am Thursday morning, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle in reference to a disturbance in the 800 block of Ash St.

The driver tried to elude officers during a short pursuit. At the end of the pursuit, the driver was charged with Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, Flee and Elude, Driving Under the Influence, and Felony Obstruction.  Additional traffic violations are possible, as well as charges stemming from the disturbance.

The passenger was arrested for Felony Obstruction.
