The Hays Public Library will be showcasing young artists during the Hays Arts Council Winter Art Walk. The theme, “Fandom Fantastica,” will exhibit Fan Art and other artwork inspired by forms of visual media such as comics, movies, television shows or video games.

Submissions will be accepted from any interested party, of any age, with the understanding that artists in grades 6-12 will have priority in receiving gallery space for their artwork. Artists may submit up to 10 original works of art by November 1, 2013.

To reserve gallery space, contact Scott Rader at 785-623-4944 or [email protected]. Frames and mounting will be provided for compositions that are 8.5” x 11” and smaller. Larger pieces must be submitted wall-ready.

The exhibit will be held in the Trish Davies Young Adult Performance Center on the second floor of the Library Friday, December 6 from 7-9 p.m.
