Kansas Murder Suspect due in Court today UPDATE

2 p.m.  The state on Wednesday filed two counts of murder against Michael Brisco, one being first degree premeditated murder and the other a charge of second degree murder. Other charges included criminal possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and aggravated intimidation of a witness.

Brisco’s bond was increased to $700,000.

 

 

The Hutchinson man accused of shooting an Illinois man on September 9, is expected back in court Wednesday morning for the reading of formal charges Briscoagainst him.

Micheal Brisco faces charges of 1st degree murder, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and aggravated intimidation of a witness.

Deputy District Attorney Tom Stanton may again ask the court to increase the bond for Brisco to 1-million dollars. He earlier called him an “extreme danger” to the community. Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen had earlier turned down the states request. The bond currently sits at 501-thousand, 500-dollars.

The 36-year-old Brisco is charged in the killing of 26-year-old Sem Adrien. Adrien was found suffering a gunshot wound in a small parking lot at 8th & Plum in Hutchinson. He was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center where he died.
