The latest on the Big 12 isn’t about which school’s are possibly leaving or who may be joining, but rather about a shakeup at the top. The Kansas City Star is reporting that Dan Beebe is working on an agreement to exit as conference commissioner. An announcement of his departure is expected to come as early as Thursday.

Beebe joined the Big 12 in 2003 and became the commissioner in 2007. He had been the commissioner of the Ohio Valley Conference the previous 14 years and had also worked in the NCAA’s enforcement division.
