HARTFORD, Ky. (AP) – The Kentucky Supreme Court says it won’t get involved in a dispute over how legendary bluegrass musician Bill Monroe’s name can be used. That means an appeals court ruling on the issue stands. That ruling said that officials of one Kentucky county meant to give organizers the right to use Monroe’s name on a music festival, but failed to seal the agreement. Monroe’s son James had been seeking court permission to bar the festival from using the name – and now plans to press the issue in Tennessee.
