A New York Times Best Selling author will be at the Hays Public Library.  Eric Litwin will be performing at 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 8th in the library’s Schmidt Gallery.

Litwin is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the first four “Pete the Cat” picture books.  He will be speaking and reading from his book, but he won’t just read to the audience.  Mary Bittel of the HPL Children’s Department told Hays Post that this truly will be a performance.

“Eric Litwin is a professional story teller and he uses music to help him tell stories.  That’s why it’s described as more of a performance.  He’ll be taking stories and then using music, instruments, and call & response to get those who are attending to participate in telling the story with him.”

Litwin will also share the story of how he progressed from an out-of-the box, self published writer to a best-selling author with a major publishing company.

A book signing will follow each performance.  “Pete the Cat” will also be making an appearance.
