The Hays High girls’ golf team shot a 158 to win the Liberal Redskin Invitational by 39 shots Thursday.

The Indians place six in the top-ten and were led by Maddie Curry who wins the individual title with a 36 which ties the Indian school record for nine holes. Kaycee Beilman was two strokes back to finish second. Alexyss Leiker and Taylor Herman both fire 42’s. Leiker was fourth and Herman fifth. Holly Hattan finished seventh with a 46 and Natalie Bethel tenth with a 48.

The Indians are currently in second place in the WAC standings with one tournament to go. Kaycee Beilman leads the individual standings, one point ahead of teammate Maddie Curry and Garden City’s Mackenzie Thayer.
