Authorities in Great Bend raided a home on Jefferson Street Wednesday morning and found several drugs inside. Officers found six pounds of high quality 
marijuana and more than $16,000 in cash.
Barton County Sheriff’s officers and agents from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at 1019 Jefferson St. around 9:20 a.m.
The drugs, cash, two vehicles and other personal property were seized as evidence and will be processed under the Kansas Drug Forfeiture Act. Sheriff’s deputies also recovered a stolen handgun that was stolen in the city of Great Bend.Tyson E. Sanders, age 32 of Great Bend, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of stolen property as well as other drug charges including sales of controlled substances within 1000 feet of a school.
Sanders was transported to the Barton County jail and is being held in lieu of a $300,000 bond.
