Arc of Central Plains has named a new director. Beth Pfeifer previously served as the organization’s Technology and Outreach Coordinator, according to board president Jim Huenergarde.
“As director, Beth will coordinate the many services Arc offers,” says Huenergarde.
Pfeifer is a graduate of Kinsley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University.
The Arc’s mission statement: “The Arc is committed, through advocacy and education, to securing for all people with developmental disabilities, and their families the opportunity to improve their quality of life, so they may choose and realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work, and play.”
Established in 1967, the organization originally carried the name of the Homer B. Reed Arc. The Arc and the Arc Thrift Store are located at 116 East 11th Street in Hays.
