The first snow of the season fell in western Kansas on Friday. While Ellis County had some snowflakes that melted rapidly, there was snow accumulation in many areas of Northwest Kansas.

Cheyenne County reported 6 inches of snow. Goodland reported 2”, Oakley 2.5”, Colby had 4”, Hoxie 3”, Atwood 2”, and Ness County had an inch of snow.

The Light snow and rain that fell across Ellis County brought less than .40 of inch of moisture to the area.
