About 100 volunteers from Hays Rotary Club, FHSU, Hays High School and local churches gathered at three low-income homes for a Paint-a-Thon Saturday sponsored by the Rotary Club. Exteriors were painted and yards spruced up.

Project leader Tom Kotch helped review 10 applications. Three single female homeowners were selected. Kotch hopes it becomes an annual event.
