More counterfeit money is reported in the area. The Russell Police Department, according to their facebook page, has been informed that unknown subjects have passed counterfeit $20 bills in the Russell area.

The bills have the same serial numbers of; IL18109347G, are slightly smaller than a legal $20 bill, do not have the security thread or watermark, and are a slightly different color than legal bills.

If presented with one of these bills call the Police Department immediately at 785-483-2121.
