A Salina woman has lost several hundred dollars in a phone scam.
Lt. Scott Siemsen said the woman told police she had received a phone call in September from a man claiming to be with Medicare, and that updated information was need for her Medicare coverage.
The 78-year-old woman provided information from her bank account the number of the last check written. On October 23, $448.52 was taken from the account from by Sun Bright.
Another attempt to withdrawal funds on October 24th from the account was not successful.
The woman contacted police on Tuesday.
