Wednesday, Congressman Tim Huelskamp presented Roberta Molstad from Hays with a certificate honoring her as an Angel in Adoption.
“Every year,I have the privilege of nominating families to serve as the Angels in Adoption for the First District of Kansas. This year, the CCAI Angel in Adoption™ selection committee chose Roberta based on her extraordinary work to help children in need of homes. Recognizing these ‘Angels’ offers an opportunity to raise awareness of Adoption and foster care issues and offering hope to the countless kids who need loving homes.”
Angels in Adoption is a program run by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, which raises awareness about the tens of thousands of orphans and foster children in the United States and the millions of orphans around the world in need of permanent, safe, and loving homes through adoption. The Congressional Coalition on Adoption is a bipartisan, bicameral caucus dedicated to cutting barriers that keep children from their right to being in a loving home with loving families.
Roberta has worked as a case manager for people with developmental disabilities, has succeeded to become a licensed professional counselor and most importantly to her, an adoptive parent. Roberta started her journey in becoming a licensed foster parent in 2007. Since then, she has provided a loving, caring, fun and secure home for several children.
