A  man was injured in a Friday semi truck crash in Barton County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol sixty-year old Philip D. Nelson of Everest Kansas was driving a 1999 Freightliner semi truck south bound on south east 100 Ave, 7 miles south of Ellinwood.

The driver attempted to negotiate a curve onto southeast 70th road, was traveling at a speed to great for the curve, lost control, left the roadway and the truck rolled onto its side. Nelson was trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital in Great Bend. He was wearing a seat belt.
