FHSU Volleyball Players Named to All-Tournament Team

Fort Hays State sophomore volleyball players Madison Schwartz and Jenna Ulrich were named to the All-Tournament Team at the UTPB Volleyball Classic last weekend in Odessa, Texas. The two players were among eight individuals who were selected to the team after helping the Tigers to a 3-1 record for the weekend.

Schwartz had 10+ kills in each match, including a career-high 18 in the five-set Fort Hays State win over tournament host UT-Permian Basin. Against Southern Arkansas, Schwartz put down 12 kills without committing an error and had a hitting percentage of .571. For the weekend, she had 51 kills and hit .302.

Ulrich was also effective and consistent, having at least nine kills in each match, including 13 in the win over UTPB. She also had a hitting percentage over .270 in each match to go along with 11 total blocks (five solo, six assist). Ulrich finished the weekend with 41 kills and a hitting percentage of .315.
